My dad visited last weekend and I cooked some special breakfast dishes. We had local whole wheat waffles and an apple salad for breakfast yesterday. I also made a little breakfast dessert of broiled grapefruit. Here is the recipe.

1 or 2 grapefruit, cut in half with seeds removed
Cut the grapefruit in half and place on a baking sheet with a little tin foil. Heat broiler to 425 degrees or high. Sprinkle a little vanilla extract on the grapefruit. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top. Broil for a few minutes, watching the grapefruit. Enjoy.
