Today was a cooler day and I thought about cooking something warm. I got caught in the rain at the garden and came home to be warm and dry. This recipe from Alice hit the spot with the turnip from last week’s share. Thanks Alice!
A very simple recipe and yummy too! Only three ingredients plus salt & pepper.
Potatoes(4 Cups cooked)
turnips (2cups cooked)
butter (1/2 cube or, about 4 T)
salt & pepper
I left the peelings on, but you can peel if you are a purist.
Cut potatoes and turnips into half, then half again.
Cook until tender.
Put together in bowl, with butter.
Mix until mashed,
Add salt & pepper,
Voilà! An easy, healthy vegetable side dish!
