Tip for Fruit Smoothies

Alice sent in a tip for eating while it is nice and hot outside.  I have been doing a similar thing with smoothies for breakfast and salads for lunch.  If you have any tips, please send them to blog@beneficialfarm.com

Smoothie Tip from Alice

Since it’s so hot now, I don’t feel like being in the kitchen cooking or even eating. Salads are great. I’ve also been making fruit smoothies for a meal. I use what I have, but the basic ingredients include yogurt, plain, three ice cubes, fresh fruit,— overripe peaches work well,– frozen blueberries or frozen mixed berries. Add a bit of juice, like mango or papaya . We have Jumex juice cans for camping, so half of one of those is great. Blend all together until the ice cubes are tiny or dissolved. Serve in tall glass. Bon apetit!
